SRT ALCALA MULTI-PURPOSE COOPERATIVE OF PANGASINAN (SRT Alcala MPC)
The SRT Alcala Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Pangasinan was established and registered with Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) with CDA Registration No. 9520-01004158 dated year 2005. A farmer cooperative with businesses such as production of livestock’s and agricultural crops includes among other are rice, corn and high value crops, supply of farm inputs, lending and credit, trading and marketing of farm produce and other commodities.
The co-op’s started operation smoothly and able to meet their clienteles ultimate satisfaction. Apparently, like many other organization, the co-op suffered some minor setback in the succeeding years due to some reasons such as non-payment of member’s loan due to calamity resulting to poor harvest and lack of management’s expertise.
Despite several challenges, the co-op surpasses and prospered its operation and now SRT Alcala MPC is in the hand of good members with strong governance. Aggressive and effective marketing strategies such establishment of Bagsakan Center in Metro Manila as a support services to farmer members with a farm productive area of about 1,100 hectares situated in the municipalities of Alacala, Bautista and Bayambang, in the province of Pangasinan producing Rice, Corn and High Values crops such as Onions, Eggplant, Ampalaya, Okra, Squash, String Beans, Sweet Potato, Papaya and other leafy vegetables.

SRT Alcala MPC believes that its existence is to ensure that its organization will always be relevant and will continue to offer services to its farmer members. Alcala MPC was born out of human need. Alcala MPC is an institution through which relations between its members and management are placed upon human basis-service. It is a business with a special purpose-a business with a heart.
The vision aims to achieve the key indicators that will keep SRT Alcala MPC abreast with the market environment while delivering excellent services to members:
- Financial viability– adherence to Cooperative performance standard for cooperatives
- Operational Efficiency– that is measured on the effectiveness of workflow or processes of service delivery to its member being served.
- Competitive Position– is the high degree of acceptance of agricultural based brand of cooperative.
- Member Satisfaction-is measured on the number of farmers using the services of SRT Alcala MPC.
- Employee Satisfaction-people are the most important assets in the Cooperative. Co-op should offer a career path for its staff. Satisfied employees have high level of innovation, productive, no labor dispute, and demonstrate teamwork.
- Good Cooperative Governance- involved and competent Board of Directors, transparency of operation, ethical business practices and accountability to members and public.
MISSION STATEMENT – “To undertake the program and activities that will improve the agricultural productivity and economic conditions of cooperative members.”
The prime purpose of SRT Alcala MPC existence is to assist member improve their living standards by developing agricultural related services. In order to fulfill this SRT Alcala MPC supports its members’ increase and diverse needs.
